This artifact illustrates how information can be brought together to convey an idea as well as set a mood in communication with others. This artifact shows that this can be accomplished using a variety of Web 2.0 tools to accomplish the same thing. This artifact was used to excite students about this chapter book.

Artifact: Goodreads book reviews
This artifact illustrates how students and teachers can reflect on a book and share their thoughts and opinions on the book through the using of a collaborative tools in a virtual environment. In this environment student can share their creative process in writing the book reviews. They can use this Web 2.0 tool in helping them decide on other titles that might be of interest to them as well.
Artifact: Animoto-Historical Fiction Commerical
This artifact illustrates how information can be brought together to convey ideas as well as set a mood in communication with others. This artifact was used to excite students for the genre of historical fiction. From this presentation students were also allowed to build commercials for their favorite sections of the library to be shown to other classes of students. (See Students NETS-S 1 for examples of student created work).
Each month a new genre was introduced through this method of instruction in just under 90 seconds.
